Um médico tão jovem e já em Burnout? Reflexões e experiências para conquistar a felicidade profissional
Such a young Doctor going into Burnout? Reflection and experiences for pursuing professional happiness

Resumo
O tema do “burnout” é assunto presente nas publicações, eventos médicos e nas conversas informais. O desgaste que atinge já o jovem profissional assume um protagonismo preocupante. No presente artigo –que tem como base uma investigação que culminou em tese doutoral recente- os autores expõem as possíveis causas e apontam para soluções, com ênfase na prevenção do esgotamento laboral do médico. O exemplo do docente, que acompanha o jovem profissional e lhe impulsiona a refletir, é um ponto de partida que ilumina a esperança dos jovens, e aumenta a responsabilidade dos docentes. Enumeram-se também uma série de recursos que facilitam a construção pessoal de um caminho para conquistar a realização profissional. Assim: tomar consciência da própria missão colabora no interesse profissional. Aprender a conhecer-se, aceitando as limitações; saber estabelecer hierarquias e prioridades; inserir-se em ambientes de trabalho em equipe e, finalmente, cuidar de si mesmo, buscando uma vida sem divisões são elementos que, trabalhados com constância e regularidade, previnem o burnout.

Abstract
The burnout syndrome comes up repeatedly in publications and in the medical scenario. Even young doctors are exposed to this professional erosion very often. In this paper –which is an academic reflection over a recent PhD research- the authors describe possible causes of burnout and point out some solutions with emphasis on its prevention. Teachers as role models, accompanying young professionals and fostering reflection, is a good start that lights up hope for the new generations of physicians and increases seniors’ responsibility. Resources that facilitate personal construction of a “path for professional happiness” are enumerated. Thus: to explicit doctors’ mission sustains interest for doctoring; to learn how to set hierarchy and priorities bringing efficiency and tranquility; to be engaged in scenarios that support team work; and finally, to learn how to take care of themselves and designing an undivided life, unifying personal and professional goals. All those issues when incorporated with constancy and regularity bring harmony and prevent burnout.
