Abstract

Glomus tumors are a rare type of subeptelial mesenchymal tumor recognized clinically as benign, but some show a similar biological behavior to those of malignant origin. We reported the case of a female patient admitted in our hospital with abdominal pain and diarrhea who underwent surgical resection without complications. There are few reported cases of gastric glomus tumor and the symptoms can be varied. The treatment of choice is the wedge resection with negative margins. The main differential diagnosis is with GISTs, and it can not be exclude its malignant potential so an appropriate surveillance of these patients is necessary.
